Ruetschle
RUETSCHLE
What is it about the Midwest that produces songwriters who evoke feelings of another time and another place? Whatever deep psychological motivation, it is surely an influence on this Dayton quartet and their simple, to-the-point pop songs. Ruetschle's structures and melodies have more in common with early rock/n/roll than anything today. And that faux-accent certainly is not a product of the local school system. The songs on "Exotic Destinations" are as good and consistent as the band has produced over their three-full-lengths. It is an album not to be missed.
Ruetschle = Mike Ruetschle- vocals, guitar. Cooper- bass. Andy Ingram- drums. Shawn Johnson- guitar.

The second release from Ruetschle is what we launched Poptek around. Sloppy but endearing, Mike Ruetschle's song craft still comes through. Features "The Real Thing", "The Dark Side", and "All I Get From You".
The debut of Ruetschle is the first in what would become a standard Poptek dichotomy- songs that are dark and catchy at the same time. Features "Changes", "In the Haze of the Month of May", and "Montezuma".
