“Went Silent” is an album by the band Place Position. It comes complete with 10 songs. The group recorded together in a Southwestern Ohio basement in the Fall of 2024 over the course of two days. After stitching together loose ends, the band handed off mixing duties to Derl Robbins of Dayton, Ohio. Every now and then Andy of Poptek Records would ask, “How’s the record coming?” The band was uncertain whether or not to have it released. After six months, Gwen of Blind Rage Records said, “You should get the album pressed and play this show”. Banding together with the likes of Dayton’s Blind Rage, Poptek, and Sweet Cheetah, Place Position and Bunker Park Records of Middletown, Ohio give you the album “Went Silent”, releasing January 23, 2026.
Place Position = Chip Heck- bass, Jesse Mays- drums, Josh Osinkoski- vocals, guitar.
Recorded by Place Position at Bunker Park in Middletown, OH during October and November 2024.
Additional recording at the Martel House in Dayton, OH.
Mixed by Derl Robbins at his house from January- March 2025.
Mastered by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air in August 2025.
