The Dayton Music Fest, consisting
of one night, 20 bands, and four
clubs, is out to promote the best of
what Dayton, Ohio has to offer
musically. Whether folk, rock,
indie, punk, the goal is to unite the
fractured scene of Dayton while at
the same time announce what
some people already know: That
this Midwest industrial town
produces some great music. On
this one night of October 1, the
Oregon District will be the place
for fans and onlookers to wander
between venues, dropping in or
out, to check out their favorite
band, support their friends, or
even cure their curiosity with
music they have never before
experienced. All this in one
neighboorhood, one night, and
with one easy ten dollars that
pleases the bands, the clubs, and
the promoters. Many people have
dreamed and talked about it. Now
it’s finally happening . . .
the first annual Dayton Music Fest.
